about

This album was nearly a year in the making and feels to me like the natural follow on from ‘Make No Bones. We recorded what I thought was the whole album in 4 days at Yellowfish studios near Brighton in the treacherous snow of December 2010. I took the recordings home with a view to adding a few little bits like backing vocals and bits of percussion. This turned into a nationwide recording extravaganza as I proceeded to spend the next five months, in between random jobs and gigs (and often unannounced!) tipping up at peoples houses armed with a few mics, a lap top and a gramophone horn and capturing spontaneous performances from lots of my brilliant musical friends.
